Plot:
Kylie Bucknell is forced to return to the house she grew up in when the court places her on home detention. Her punishment is made all the more unbearable by the fact she has to live there with her mother Miriam - a well-intentioned blabbermouth who's convinced that the house is haunted. Kylie dismisses Miriam's superstitions as nothing more than a distraction from a life occupied by boiled vegetables & small-town gossip. However, when she too becomes privy to unsettling whispers & strange bumps in the night, she begins to wonder whether she's inherited her overactive imagination, or if the house is in fact possessed by a hostile spirit who's less than happy about the new living arrangement.

I love when a horror movie comes along and it is like a breath of fresh air! This was one of those movies that the cover art and title make you stop and look. Well stop passing it by and watch this perfect gem already!

I can not say enough good things about HouseBound the cast is wonderful the locations bring you into the fold and the soundtrack is spot on. How much can one person do when they are trapped in their house that she has no desire to be in? That is the lovely thing about the whole movie. It's wrapped up as a ghost story with great plot twists! Yeah I did not see the ending coming right away in fact it was in the final act when I figured it out and to me that is remarkable!

One of the coolest things about Housebound is it simplicity! It does not go overboard with special effects to make it all work. In fact, it's all in the acting and a carefully worked story. It is creepy when it needs to be and funny at all the right times. All though low on gore don't let that stop you. The house is a character on its own as well. It's so plain and simple and warm yet creepy and odd at the same time. The cast is dead on quirky and dull that add's to this masterpiece.

When this seasoned Horror fan jumped for joy at the end of the movie you know both horror fans and B-Movie fans will be thrilled with this offbeat horror/comedy mash-up! To all my Ghost movie loving fans please check this out it has to be the best movie I have seen this year!!
